Korean Perm in Dubai: Salons, Prices, What to Expect

In short. Dubai has demand for the Korean perm but very few salons that publish what it costs. Of the six salons in this directory that offer a Korean, digital or cold perm, three show a perm price: AED 299 for a Korean perm in Oud Metha, AED 800 for a Korean digital perm in Business Bay and AED 1,080 for a digital perm at a Japanese salon in DIFC. That is about $81-294. Only one salon is described as employing Korean stylists today, so asking the right questions matters more here than in Seoul or Singapore.

For the salons that don't publish prices, two Dubai guides give a range: AED 350-1,200 for a Korean perm depending on length and method (salonsindubai.ae, updated 3 August 2026) and AED 700-1,080 at Korean salons (dubaisbest.com, 22 October 2025). That is about $95-327. A separate strand test, as in Oud Metha, is worth asking about everywhere: it shows how your hair takes the perm before you commit. How to choose a salon

In Dubai the word "Korean" on a sign tells you little: of the six salons, one is Japanese, one is a men's salon and only one is described by guides as staffed by Korean stylists. Ask:

  1. Is there a machine, and is the heat setting chosen for my hair? Without a machine it is a cold perm, not a digital one.
  2. Which perm solution do you use: brand, country, original or substitute? No salon here names its brand online.
  3. Are the photos of your work taken on dry hair or wet hair? A digital perm shows on dry hair; a cold perm looks strongest wet.
  4. Do you do a test strand or assess my hair from photos first?

And one more for Dubai: who exactly will do the perm, and where did they train?

Digital, cold or root perm

A digital perm uses heated rods connected to a machine and gives a curl that shows on dry hair; it lasts up to six months. A cold perm uses no heat and gives a softer wave, usually for three to five months. A root perm lifts only the roots for volume; none of the six salons here publishes a root perm price. Local notes

A Korean perm takes time: the Oud Metha salon lists three to four and a half hours, and Dubai guides give two to three hours for a cold perm and three to four for a digital one. Most salons here combine the perm with smoothing treatments such as keratin or hair botox. If your hair has had keratin, say so at the consultation: it changes how the perm takes.
